Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport covers the land area of 284.46 ha., 3300m for runway and 3168m for taxiway, 65,000 m2 for terminal building, 240,000 m2 for parking apron and 25 gate positions to reach 4E grade I-class standard of international airport, where a variety of large-size plane in the world can take off and land surely.

Dalian zhoushuizi International Airport is one of top four airports in Northeast China and one of important airports in north and south sides of Liaoning Province, which always promotes the development depended upon its airport advantage to attract 22 airline companies home and abroad to operate their business in Dalian Airport, 118 flight courses have been opened including 75 domestic flight courses and 43 international and Special Administrative Regions flight courses to keep air navigation with 89 cities home and   abroad in 15 countries, in which 36 cities in foreign countries and regions, more than 1300 flights a week have formed air transportation network covering all over the country, radiating Japan and Korea and connect-ing with Europe, America, Australia and Asia basically.

Dalian zhoushuizi International Airport has held the top among 12 civil airports of Northeast China in three indexes including passenger volume, freight and post volume, and flight times of taking off and landing for eight years continuously since 1998. In 2006, it finished volume with 6.35 million person times passenger and 145,000 tons freight and post separately,56,000 flight times for taking off and landing, to list top 15 and top 12 separately among 133 civil airports in China.
