Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Beijing (D)
Arrival in Beijing, Airport pickup to hotel.
 
Beijing is a city of amazing contrasts - an ancient capital with some incredible historical sites and a bustling modern metropolis getting ready to host the 2008 Olympics.
 
 
Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)
Great Wall (Simatai), Dinner at Quanjude Peking Duck.
 
Quanjude Peking Duck:Founded in 1864, the Quanjude Restaurant is the largest roast duck restaurant in Beijing if not in the world.
 
Great Wall (Simatai):This dizzying section of the Great Wall is for the very fit - it's extremely steep, and unrestored, therefore quite challenging in places. The reward for the energetic who are prepared to tackle it is that it's also very beautiful, far less crowded and has some fascinating architecture. Be prepared!
 
Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven.
 
Tiananmen Square:The world's largest city square and enduring symbol of China's national pride, surrounded by many imposing buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Mao's Mausole
 
Forbidden city:The Imperial Palace, home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. Great squares, halls and gates contrast with the intricate networks of side halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters for those who lived in this "city within a city".
 
Temple of Heaven:The place which was visited yearly by the emperors who performed intricate rituals to insure a good harvest for the whole nation at ancient times.
 
Day 4: Xi'an (B, L)
Plane to Xi'an, Airport to hotel transfer, Shaanxi Historical Museum, Ancient City Walls.
Day 5: Xi'an (B, L)
Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower.
 
Terracotta Warriors and Horses:Discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, this is one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century. These 6,000 life-size painted Terracotta Warriors and Horses --individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history--Emperor QinShihuang for 2,200 years ago.
 
Big Wild Goose Pagoda:Regarded by many as a symbol of the city Xian, the pagoda was built in 652 A.D. in the Tang Dynasty to house the sutras brought back from India by the famous monk Xuan-zang.
 
Bell Tower:Standing in the center of the city and built in 1582, the Bell Tower is a three-story wooden structure with traditional Chinese architectural features. It is so called because an iron bell is hung in the tower to give the correct time.
 
Day 6: Xi'an, Kunming, Lijiang (B, L)
Breakfast Xi'an, Plane to Kunming, Plane to Lijiang, Lijiang Ancient Town.
 
Kunming is the capital city of Yunnan province, China. Because of its year-round temperate weather, Kunming is often called the "Spring City".
 
Lijiang ancient town:Also called Dayan Town, it was built in the late Song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty with a history of more than 800 years. This ancient town consists of clean streams flowing freely through the road network, the colorful cobbled streets, age-old swaying willow trees, age-old buildings and stone bridges. There are over 22 different ethnic minorities making Lijiang their home. Now and then you may see local folks in their own tradtional dress. Strolling around this charming ancient town, you will be attracted by the unique atmosphere and surprised by its ancient yet simple sense of "Harmony of Heaven and Man."
 
Day 7: Lijiang (B, L)
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Black Dragon Pool Park, Yak Meadow, Baisha Mural Paintings.
 
Day 8: Lijiang, Kunming (B, L)
Breakfast Lijiang, Plane to Kunming, Green Lake Park, Stone Forest.
Day 9: Kunming, Guilin (B, L)
Breakfast Kunming, Plane to Guilin, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill.
 
 
Day 10: Guilin (B, L)
Li River Cruise.
Along the river, you will be inspired by the breathtaking views of peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and reflections in the water together with the serene pastoral views of rice paddies and water buffaloes.You will certainly feel like you are walking into a traditional Chinese painting by cruising on this wonderful river.
 
Guilin is regarded in China as the country's most picturesque city. Two crystal-clear rivers meander through the city, which are encircled by mountains with unusual & bizarre rock formations and caves.
